The Calcutta Anglo Gujarati College, Kolkata, is committed to maintaining a safe, respectful and supportive learning environment for every student. The college follows applicable anti-ragging regulations and maintains a zero-tolerance approach towards ragging and related misconduct.
Ragging can affect a student’s dignity, well-being, academic experience and sense of security. Any act of intimidation, harassment, humiliation, abuse, forced activity or disruptive behaviour directed towards another student is strictly prohibited and may result in disciplinary action in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.
Ragging in any form is strictly prohibited within the college environment.
Students have the right to study and participate in campus life without fear, intimidation or harassment.
Reported incidents are addressed seriously through the appropriate institutional process.

Anti-ragging measures are intended to protect students and promote a healthy academic environment. Students are expected to treat one another with dignity and respect at all times.
Verbal or Written Abuse:
Insulting, humiliating, threatening or treating another student with disrespect.
Disruptive Behaviour:
Any behaviour that causes fear, distress, inconvenience, harassment or harm to another student.
Forced Activities:
Compelling a student to perform an act that may cause humiliation, embarrassment or distress.
Academic Interference:
Any act that intentionally disrupts or interferes with another student’s academic life.
Students are encouraged to report any incident or concern related to ragging. Timely reporting helps the college take appropriate steps to protect students and maintain a safe campus environment.
Compliance & Vigilance:
Supports implementation of applicable anti-ragging directives and promotes vigilance across the campus.
Awareness:
Conducts awareness initiatives, orientations, posters and communications to educate students about anti-ragging policies.
Student Orientation:
Helps new students understand their rights, responsibilities and available safety measures.
Complaint Handling:
Receives and addresses complaints through the appropriate institutional mechanism while maintaining confidentiality wherever applicable.
Student Support:
Provides guidance and directs affected students towards appropriate support services.
Preventive Measures:
Promotes preventive practices, supervision and awareness activities to discourage ragging and related misconduct.
